Abstract

This is an introductory course in Engineering Graphics designed to give students a broad overview of technical drawing including mechanical design. Engineering drawing is the language of engineers and technicians and it is the intent of this course to equip students with the fundamentals of this unique language. Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools (AutoCAD and SolidWorks) and freehand sketching fundamentals will be emphasized in both lecture and laboratory exercises. Emphasis is placed on a thorough understanding of projection principles and the visualization of exact space conditions.
