Abstract

Machine Repair is a study of mechanical components used in a variety of industrial applications. Students will learn to work with mechanical components through hands-on labs and a variety of online learning resources. This course is a hybrid course. Course materials, quizzes, discussions, and other learning resources are presented online. Hands-on practice labs and hands-on assessments are held on campus in the industrial lab classroom. In this course, students will work with the following: • Plain bearings, ball and roller bearings, tapered bearings • Conveyor belts and fasteners • Assembly of chain and V-belt drives • Direct drive shaft alignment • Gear drives
