Abstract
The Science Department at Roxbury Community college reevaluated their Science placement test and the effectiveness of the SCI 099 course by offering a Biology I (SCI 103) pilot course with a mandatory recitation session for those students who placed into SCI 099. This allowed students who placed into SCI 099 to enter a college level science course without the SCI 099 prerequisite. This document is a report on that study.
