Abstract

The Industrial Mechanic program is designed to give knowledge and the multi-craft skills to maintain complex and integrated manufacturing systems. This program seeks to provide a broad base of skills that are suitable for initial or upgrade training. Blueprint reading, electrical, welding, hydraulic and machining maintenance, drives and linkages, machine rigging, motors and controls and refrigeration fundamentals are all part of the course curriculum. BTC’s faculty bring real-world experience to the classroom and the coursework combines lecture and laboratory experience to provide the maximum amount of information and practical exposure.
