Connecticut Health and Life Sciences Career Initiative (HL-SCI)

The HL-SCI will use three evidence-based program strategies to provide certifications, industry-recognized credentials, and Associate degrees to prepare veterans, TAA-impacted, dislocated and other under-employed workers for careers in growing health and life sciences occupations. The HL-SCI will use online and technology enabled learning modules to help program participants develop stacked and latticed credentials by revising existing certificate/degree programs and creating fifteen new programs to meet these health care needs. THE HL-SCI will also expand its Prior Learning Assessments to accelerate the progress of workers, improve retention and achievement rates, and reduce overall time to completion.
