This working relationship will vary with each partnership, but general practices are being established and defined. This paper describes strategies utilized by the Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI) Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) training program to establish a clear role for SLPAs in the state of South Dakota, and to inform stakeholders of the role of SLPAs in the workforce.
